one time in a police station...

i swear the story isn't as bad, or funny, as the title implies.

so about six or seven months ago i found myself, with my ex-roommate, standing in a police station. we were there filing a police report, and it being 2:00 am, the police station was empty but slowly we noticed that every officer working in the station was now out at the front desk talking to us (apparently a police station at an obscene hour of the morning is a great place to pick up cuties in uniform). as we were filling out the paperwork we starting chatting with the officers about different things, mostly about how it must suck to work the night shift at the station because it's so boring. we then asked them if being a cop is anything like what you see on t.v. and what show is most accurate in it's portrayal of police life. i think there was a cop show on the t.v. they were watching an that's what lead to this question, also possibly mild flirting, but c'mon, how could we not? ha ha.

anyways...one officer started telling us about a new show on t.v., Southland, that was really accurate. he was going on for a few minutes about the show when another officer interrupted him and said, "the only reason he's telling you about it is because he's on one of the episodes." the officer became a little embarrassed and said he didn't know exactly what episode he was on, but told us to watch the show and look for him. ha ha.

and what made me think of this random story that really has no point, besides it being mildly entertaining, is that i finally saw an episode of Southland today.
