i know i'm late with this news, and even later with the pictures, but this is the first chance i've had to sit down and actually type up a post.
a quick recap: john galliano was arrested for making anti-semitic remarks to a couple in Paris, no third party witness. He was then suspended from his position at Dior. a video from a separate incident showing him going on an anti-semitic rant was released. Dior fired him.
i think it is a horrible shame that this happened, but i do believe Dior was completely correct in dismissing him from his position. i'm quite curious as to whom will take over Dior next. no doubt, galliano is an amazing designer and did a great job with Dior.
i forgot to post these pictures from the Dior spring/summer 2011 haute couture show, sorry. i know we're already well into fall/winter 2011 shows, but these pieces take my breath away. it absolutely melts my heart to see the nod to the new look. i thought this was the most appropriate time to post these, with the galliano mess and all.
