so, after six months i've moved out of the apartment in burbank. i won't go into detail for the mere fact that i don't find it nice or appropriate and that this is a public forum, but i'm sure we can all put two and two together. the move was nice though. it gave me an opportunity to get fully organized and really figure out what i need, and what i don't. i'm absolutely in LOVE with my new room. it's finally the room i've always wanted and it feels like me.
in all this change happening in my life i've found new motivation, and it feels GREAT! i'm getting started on my baby line, a good place for me to start...now i just need to find the time. i've got sketches done and i'm starting my test run of things. as soon as everything is set up, i have a meeting with fred segal. that wont be for a while, but it's SUPER exciting! i'll post pictures and more information as i have it.
i have quite a bit of traveling coming up, which is always fun. i love airports and planes. traveling always gives me inspiration and ideas, so i'm quite stoked.
in September i'm going to visit my best friend in portland, oregon (where she's going to school) for her birthday and we're going to go see kevin devine perform, one of our favorite indie musicians. she'll have been in portland for about a month when i go visit her, i think it's great timing. i think she'll be excited to see a familiar face. i know i'll miss hers like no other...
from portland i'm heading over to boise, idaho to visit family. then in october i'm going to visit my dads 'sister' and her family, who i haven't seen since i was a small child.
going to a couple new places has me very excited and should be fun and inspiring. it'll be interesting flying alone so much, but shhh...i'm really excited to try it all by myself.
