figuring out how to dress down my BCBG skirt and turn it into an everyday look (my most ridiculous purchase ever and i've only worn it once. i feel guilty)
here are some of the amazing and inspiring mothers in my life. i don't know where i'd be without their wonderful examples and love. i love and appreciate them so much. happy mother's day, i love you!
so i've been talking a lot about changes and just going for things, creating new experiences and saying yes more often. well, i have. for example: i got my eyebrows threaded. i went somewhere i've never been before and just let them do what they wanted with my eyebrows. oh, and i went skydiving. you know, baby steps. haha.
last tuesday was my twenty second birthday and i wanted to do something fun and big. skydiving fit the criteria! to be honest i wasn't nervous, just excited. there was a half a second of 'holy crap, what did i get myself into' when we jumped out of the plane, but then i saw the amazing, breathtaking view and i was fine. i had a HUGE smile on my face the entire way up and down. i had to get the video for my first time, which i will post at the bottom. it's really funny to watch. i will definitely do it again. it was one of the best experiences of my life.
i had to work on my actual birthday, but i had a nice lunch with my mom before i went in and a nice dinner with some coworkers. since my birthday was during the week, i decided to celebrate on the weekend. on friday i went skydiving in camarillo and my family all wanted to come see me break my legs...i mean...jump. haha. after i jumped we went to walk on the beach (i finally got to use my big sunhat i picked up at a craft show a while back!) and had lunch at a beach front restaurant in oxnard then hit up the camarillo outlets! then on saturday night i had my birthday dinner at wokcano. it was a very fun and memorable weekend. i'm very appreciative to all that made it such an amazing birthday this year!

a bit of advice: don't wear a v-neck skydiving...
"pardon my reach. i'm going to loosen your chest strap, but the girls will thank me." best quote of the day.
